Once #45 is merged, I shall backtrack master by 5 commits to facilitate a riskless merge (per difficulty in #46). Even backtracked slightly, it'll still be ahead of the latest release tag v1.0.1, and nothing of significance will be lost in those commits (just a readme update, and special casing travis for a now unsupported version of PHP).
Current master is preserved in legacy-1.0.x-master.
