Currently we do not have a license included with the repo, and I cannot find any instance of us formally included one with any data-related GitHub repos. Given the popularity of the China data, I think it would be worth formally defining a license even if it only is only to list the citation requirement and reaffirm the data is available for public use.
I think any of the open source licenses would probably be compatible with our existing intentions regarding data sharing/reuse, but we may want to run this by legal folks at W&M.
