To access on Linux: https://github.com/mdbtools/mdbtools

mdb-tables HWSD2.mdb

then to export a table to csv mdb-export HWSD2.mdbTABLE> /path/to/output.csv

data associated with each SMU can be complex, need to decide what we actually want to provide (e.g., dominant soil type vs other soil types vs other characteristics of each SMU). Each would have to be a separate layer if providing more than one metric
