What steps will reproduce the problem?
No. Automatic.

What is the expected output?
It should still be usable after update.

What do you see instead?
When I press the icon, the Android said something like "the program is not
installed".

What version of the product are you using?
The newest update.

On what operating system?
Android 2.3.6.

What device are you using?
Samsung Galaxy Note.

Please provide any additional information below.
In the very beginning, the program was installed to the sdcard, not the phone
internal memory. I noticed that the icon automatically disappear from the home
screen, so I moved it to the phone internal memory. I am not sure whether this
is the reason for its disappearance after the update.

Solution:
I reinstalled the program, and it works now.

By the way, does Ebookdroid scan the whole sdcard automatically? Since my
sdcard adds up to about 40 gigabytes, scanning the whole sdcard may take a lot
of time.

You can change folders to scan in internal file manager by longClick on folder.
Also you can change folders in Settings

Thanks for your quick reply.
Actually the scroll speed of the current version seems to be much faster than
before.

Noticed the exact same issue, resolved by removing old shortcut and creating a
new one.

Then maybe it is also related to the place where the application was installed
before the update?

I don't quite understand the auto-scan feature yet; maybe it is very useful for
many people. I would like if there is an option to turn it on or off; or, it
may store the index of all the files so that it does not have to re-scan the
whole disk each time, and the user may choose to update this index manually.
