Sir, I tried ebookdroid-arm7-cortex-a9-neon-1.5.0-dev-r1499.apk before and
ebookdroid-arm7-cortex-a9-neon-1.5.0.apk just a while ago, both are slower in
the performance (rendering pdf and djvu) than 1.42.
The speed of rendering in the version of 1.42 is amazing when opening and
scaling, very smooth.
I really love your software, and I deleted the Adobe reader.

Thanks for your kindness, I tried 1.5.1 again and again, which seems no big
change in term of rendering speed, and has yet no hardware acceleration choice
(just there, but can not choose) under Surface view mode.
The attached file is a djvu format, which sometimes displayed a blank page for
a long time on 1.51, while it was very smooth ANYTIME on 1.42.
Please return the hardware acceleration choice though I am not sure it is the
key of the problem.

I tried view.View mode among 1.42,1.50, and 1.51, and found it is slow anyhow,
and noticed the hardware acceleration is available on every version, but seems
no help for rendering speed.

Hardware acceleration does not work in surface mode. In previous versions
enabling it in surface does nothing. So I decided to disable it in gui.

I have observed the same. I was expecting a 30-50% performance improvement due
to multi-threading on my dual-core Kindle Fire, but pinch-zoom is slow, even
after trying various performance tweaks and settings. Zooming in sometimes
takes 2-3s to complete, during which the device is entirely unresponsive. No
discernible difference between View or SurfaceView, nor, apparently, related to
the complexity of the page being displayed.

Now the new version 1.5.1 solved my concerns, Thanks.
