I would like to add automatic tracking for sales generated from affiliates and not use a 3rd party vendor (we used ShareaSale in the past). They take huge fees, are not accurate and are difficult for affiliate to install and navigate.
You need to add a form to affiliate page for signup and tracking in database, (own form or IS form?)
You need to write the script that could embed the affiliate cookie into a few premade graphic files that would be generated by the admin that would hold that specific affiliates ID in the cookie and be valid for 60 days.
As long as we have a report that I can access monthly that shows the affiliate and the sale and the DTO subscriber ID, we can tally manually. I dont need an automated payout process. It will be doable manually.
