@lulen11 @davidpaley @charliemckenzie you should estimate this work together and agree on delivery
@charliemckenzie once you're settled in barca, let's set up a call time with @davidpaley :) I'll send a tentative calendar invite out.
@charliemckenzie @lulen11 @davidpaley as part of the work we want to do progressing blueprint over the next few weeks I'd like to suggest that the three of you use this component as a case study to trail an idea > design > dev > design review > implementation workflow.
[ ] @charliemckenzie Using/adapting what you've been building in Figma have a crack at three different design "themes" for this component. Website, Portal, AIME Theatre. They can be real simple (should be based on an input/button) Doesn't matter if you are unsure of the final design that will land in production the point is to easily create three variants.
[ ] @lulen11 take those designs and plan the code implementation going direct to Mailchimp as outlined above. Create a branch, use @kbardi script to create your blank component, work through the theme variants (note any problems or things that are limiting), consider this is an input
+ a button
essentially so do you need to chat with @davidpaley about combining from those more baseline components?? Take it as far as you can without @davidpaley @kbardi but then work with them to document/fix anything that was hard/unclear.
[ ] @davidpaley we should validate for a valid email address being submitted and support / learn with @lulen11 etc wherever you can.
It's a real simple component so the exercise should find holes, weaknesses in our processes, technique, understanding of blueprint etc etc and get the three of you collaborating as a team. + I'm pretty sure this "component" is actually broken on the website so I'd love us to ultimately replace it with what you build :)
Sound good?
Just revamping this issue to say it's back! @kbardi and I will setup a pattern - (title, para, input, btn)
For immediate use on the Hoodie Day landing page but will feature throughout the site + worth while considering its use in the portal i.e. think about this as a "Get Notified" component perhaps ...
