Ah.. That's what I missed! In new projects, I moved from making the token required in reusable workflows and just don't set it anymore.

It looks like some of the installed apps fell off in the transfer, and I don't seem to be able to add them back

@bdraco that's because the apps are installed into accounts (org or user), not repos. They either have access to all the repos or a subset. So the apps that were installed here and didn't restrict the repo access, showed up immediately, while those that list specific repos didn't. There's no “app migration” concept in this context. I've tweaked the app configs, and they'll work for any future GH events. I'll just force-merge this, meanwhile.
