Ability to send transactions with a data field #237

Right now, you can only send AION via the wallet app. The ability to send data to interact with a smart contract by sending data is not possible. This is critical as users with hardware wallets can't make secure transactions.

The Ledger Nano S hardware wallet is supported by the Aion Desktop Wallet. Users can securely make transactions regardless of data field input. I agree it would be nice to have advanced transaction abilities within the Aion Desktop Wallet but for now there are other tools and wallets, such as AIWA, that allow for data field input and contract interaction.
