The bodymovin extension won't let me choose a destination path for any of my compositions in after effects, making it impossible to export any of my animations, It also won't let me open the settings.. before this problem happen it was working fine, never had this problem before and I've been using the extension for over three years without any major problem.

First it happen with the version 5.5.9 and I decided to update it to see If it would solve the problem, I'm now on the last version 5.7.12 and the problem its still there.

I also tried to solve the problem by reinstalling adobe after effects but this wasn't the case either.

I'm using: MacOS Big Sur 11.5.1 After Effects v17.1.3 ( I tried newer versions of the software and the problem still persisted)

Same here can't open settings nor destination folder. Nothing happens when clicking, was working perfectly a couple of weeks ago. Also updated from 5.7.8 to latest version and the problem is still there. Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 After Effects v17.0.2 - CC2020

I just checked on a previous AE version (CC2018) and worked fine, but still want to make it work on 2020.

So any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi, I've seen this happening before, but I haven't been able to reproduce it to fix it. It seems that the solution is doing an uninstall of bodymovin, restarting AE and installing it back again. Unfortunately I still haven't found a way to solve it on my side.

Gracias Hernán, muy raro porque hace unos días estaba todo perfecto... Eternas gracias por Bodymovin, de todos modos! Se me convirtió casi de golpe en una herramienta indispensable. To add some more info about this, after reinstalling the latest version, I tried also using CC2018 and the problem was not repeating there, but failed to export when selecting Banner option :( Finally, i tried installing AE CC2021 (18.4.0) and everything seemed to be back to normal. Will try again in a few weeks with 2020 and see what happens.

@alebiscione es un problema de caché. Algo queda incompatible entre versiones en el caché. Me alegro que se haya resuelto, pero seguramente vas a tener que reinstalarlo para el 2020.

It worked when I RESETed it on ZXP installer... even though it didn't worked when I uninstalled and re installed. Hope that helps to find the root of the problem :)
