Something's Causing Mobs To Stop Spawning #48

I don't know what it is, but for some reason, at some point, mobs seem to stop spawning regularly. At least on servers, at least after a few days.

Is it a blood moon that doesn't get reverted properly?

Don't know what caused it, but mobs are spawning on this server again after upping the view distance from the default 10 to 11 on the server side, and downloading Forge Essentials and trying "butcher world hostile" from the server command line (despite trying that on the client command line telling me that it wouldn't work). Don't know which of the things did it.
