Ubuntu/PopOS - AES Encryption Issue #556

My Setup:

Device: Alfa AWUS036AC Linux Distro: PopOS 19.10 (Ubuntu Derivative) Linux Kernel: 5.3.0-7625-generic Branch / Driver Version: v5.3.4 and v5.6.4.2

I cloned the repo, installed as per ./dkms-install.sh Adapter is now flashing, and displaying wifi access points. However when I try to connect with the correct key for any SSID it fails to connect and prompts for the key again. Appears to be an error somewhere in the handshake.

I checked out similar issues but it doesn't appear I've encountered any functional solutions. Any help that could be provided would be heavily appreciated. dmesg output:

After further investigation it appears this is an issue with the encryption type. AES encryption does not seem to be properly supported.

After investigating this issue for the last week and testing multiple dongles it seems the only thing that will allow successful connection is modifying my networks encryption to strictly use TKIP.
