dev_addr is const now, therefore, we have to use dev_addr_set in order to modify it.

I had the same issue on Debian bullseye. Going back to commit https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au/commit/f123ff312d65951ddd7e483e7c3ad097abaacfdb also worked for me. Thanks @avichal-a
