There should not be such thing like a map boundary: one should be able to reach America from Europe by crossing either Atlantic or Pacific oceans.

How would that impact CTF matches?

Not that I'm very much into CTF, but don't see any problems with it. Do you have some objections from the CTF pov? Can cyclic map be a config option?

If I remember correctly, the first week or so FFA was cyclic. So making it an experimental feature flag would be nice, I guess. I don't see any objections for FFA. The CTF game would be a different game with a cyclic map - that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it shouldn't be the default.
