Update README and `docs/` #38

I was surprised that the docs/ directory wasn't up to date. Some Travis-savvy person-- would it be hard to make this auto? Seems dangerous to have the results of file generation stored as part of the repo.

@matsen The build should now fail if someone forgets to re-render the docs.
