airs:isAvailableForDirectory; …forReferral; …ForResearch - are for internal purposes only #38

submitted by resource specialist: "Airs:isAvailableForDirectory; …forReferral; …ForResearch - these fields are for internal purposes only. Where the owner of the data has decided whether they will or will not publish the agency’s information on their public website, make data available for a referral, or for searching (I assume, as I’m not familiar with “ForResearch”). I do not see how this fits into data sharing.​"

Eric - thank you for posting this issue. Can anyone provide an example of what ForResearch is? Are my assumptions correct?

Polly, here is the definition we had for the function in our original system.

If the agency has agreed to be listed in our file so that they appear in research studies done for DPSS, the Board of Supervisors or other groups, indicate "yes" by leaving the default "X" in the Research box. If the agency does not wish to be listed or the agency record should be unavailable for some other reason, click on the box to remove the "X" and enter the code for the appropriate reason (set of reasons listed).

Thank you for clarifying Georgia. I feel that this also falls in the category of for owner use only, so should not be included in the model.
