Hi

We don't have a license to distribute Adobe's shared runtime AIR installers I'm afraid. The best thing to do is to use the latest AIR SDK for Linux with which it should be possible to turn an .air installer file into a 'bundle' that you can then either turn into an RPM/DEB redistributable yourself, or just zip up and copy/paste to distribute.

thanks

except that the application that I want to run is not me who creates them

it is already a linux executable which absolutely requires adobe air for linux for this launch

Thank you for the web archive links! You can actually still get the SDK from Adobe, but that runtime doesn't exist anywhere other than web archive... Once again I am thankful for their existence, and for you, for pointing it out.

Edit: Drat, but the installer still fails due to underlying issues with it for some reason not being able to see that dpkg-deb is installed. It looks like I'll be booting up the Windows VM to try out Bosca Ceoil.
