6 years ago I've added a "We were unable to find any results matching your query." message to display when no results are returned for a given search query. I estimated this change would take 30 minutes to complete. It took roughly 40 minutes.
It is currently unclear when searching whether a search page is blank because no results were found or if results are loading. A loading animation and/or a “search not found” message on the search page would provide clarification here.
