The application serves as a base for any developer to build their own Geolocation AR app. The basic concept of the app is to help a user identify a certain building or location. When the user points their camera at a building, a 3D object like a wooden sign representing the direction and name of the building, is augmented onto their camera view. The user can view this object from any angle, interact with it by touching it for further information about the location. The sample app developed as proof of concept is a UCSC tour app that helps new UCSC students identify cafes, libraries, parking spots and academic building all around campus.

Build error :This device does not support AR #4

After build project and launch it on Samsung note8 and Galaxy A7-2017 ,i got this toast "This device does not support AR" and logcat show: E/SupportedDevices: Device calibration unavailable. i install apk of ARCore by google on play store for service_mod and for client_mod i used arcore_client.aar that added in project as a module

@aishnacodes please help me....

Hi I'm sorry the project has not been updated since Dec 2017. I will try to update over the next few weeks

@aishnacodes Have you been able solve this yet? I am also still getting this error on my Pixel that definitely supports AR...

@fdheroux It's probably because the project doesn't use the latest ARcore version since haven't updated it yet

Can I update it myself? I've tried changing the SDK to the most recent version and sceneform also

I gave up on the project awhile back unfortunately. I don't remember if I ever figured this particular issue out or not.
