Validation error persists #2

Unfortunately, I still cannot install autofs this morning (autofs-5.1.9-4). I'm still getting a validation error: Screenshot_20240815_143448

Looking at the PKGBUILD file, the checksum for patch_order_5.1.9 is still d01c9e90ba750c1a5de71ffcac9a778810a335925a4d2579d3231414de4f43f1, but when I do the following command, using the URL from the PKGBUILD:

curl https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/daemons/autofs/v5/patches-5.2.0/patch_order_5.1.9 | sha256sum

... I get a checksum of ef6abcb1a164b5474c41e9d4de1cafcda769173e7f60d80ed90e75e4f3209f12

I tried cloning this repo and changing the checksum myself, but when I run makepkg on the directory, I get a different error, and I also notice that the manual attempt on the cloned repo is trying to build autofs-5.1.9-2 instead of -4, so I may be reaching the limits of my understanding of this issue.

Can you help, please? I can't get my laptop to mount my nfs shares at boot time, and I really wanted to give autofs a try. Sadly, I can't install it, so I can't even say if it will resolve my issues.

Just tried the latest version a few minutes ago (5.1.9-5). It still fails to install. I constructed this image from multiple screenshots because now it scrolls quite a bit from top to bottom. Screenshot_20240819_040647

As you can see, it is still bailing out due to a validation error.

Also, the last commit was two months ago, according to this repo. Are you changing the code and uploading it to the AUR without committing it to the repository so that others can inspect the code and possibly help fix errors?

Try deleting the patch_order_5.1.9 file and re-downloading.

And this repo was only created to send PRs to the previous maintainer. You can clone the repo directly from the AUR, if you would like.

That's got it, Alexander! Thanks!
