So far this is the most PCIe bandwidth I've been able to find in an off the shelf package: https://c-payne.com/products/pcie-gen4-switch-backplane-5-x16-4w-mircochip-switchtec-pm40100-plx
I've been working on a mounting strategy that can fit this board, 4+ GPUs and associated power supplies. This time around I'm giving this kit a try: https://www.makerbeam.com/makerbeamxl-regular-starter-kit-black.html
Still learning my way around these primitives, but progress has been a bit easier with the addition of this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09XLPXR72
Biggest questions that remain are around how to reasonably mount power supplies to the core chassis
I managed to assemble enough supports to mount two 4090 FEs and a power supply. Seems reasonably compact considering the power it's packing!
