I like the cache mechanism, maybe would be nice to have a separated project to provide that feature.

I agree. This will eventually become a separate project. Its features may include:

Try to be smarter about tailing the capped collection so it doesn't make the MongoDB server spend a lot of CPU
Pluggable event queue (not just a MongoDB capped collection)
Use Toro Events to prevent multiple coroutines from simultaneously recalculating the same expired cache value (prevent "thundering herd")
