During this week's meeting, we sorted out our broken nav bar and also introduced some code to create a drop down menu within the nav bar. Since we used some code sourced from another project, some modifications have to be made so it fits within the web design of our site including sizing and coloring. The main task for this week is to begin coding the reading view for our corpus of song lyrics and the accompanying toggle menu that will change the color of our mark-up within the text. So far, I have code for the side menu but I have to incorporate that into our site code and possibly rework the code we have to more easily integrate the flexbox technology we'd like to use. Other than that, there are a few aesthetic edits we want to make to our site as we tweak each new element we integrate along the way.

My team is also tweaking our website code as we go along to keep up with what we are currently developing in terms of reading views of our poetry and different pages on the site. Our big thing we want to complete in the upcoming week is an organized and convenient way to navigate to specific parts of our corpus. We already have been playing around with a reading view, and we, too, are wanting to have an accompanying toggle menu that will toggle on and off markup according to what is selected. We are trying to plan everything out in advance because we will have to learn some JavaScript in order to implement certain features we want.
