Description

Hi! Is there a way to configure the search bar? I would like to be able to enable/disable google search hyperlink and/or torrent search and/or youtube search and have homarr only probing the apps of the dashboard

Cheers!

Please tick the boxes

Yeah, I just tried Homarr and it's amazing! 👏

Everything is perfect except for the torrent search engine it's using. Just like how 👇

we can manually change the search URL to make it work with any search engine, it would be awesome to have it such way that it can work with any torrent search engine of our choice 🙌

This would be a big plus for me as well. I'd love to be able to define the search default, like searching Overseer to have the existing interface pop like: https://nickflix.mov/board?movie=true&search=lord+of+the+rings&type=overseerr

Perhaps just adding the ability to globally (not per user in preference) to set the default search and define it LIKE user preferences would work well. Love to see this feature! Thanks for the hard work team.

Was looking for a way to customize and disable torrents in the search. A visual workaround I found is to add this to the custom css in the settings div.mantine-Group-root.mantine-Autocomplete-item:nth-child(2) { display: none; } Problem with this is that it's still select able with arrow keys

+1 on this. Would love to have it go to http:///search?query= instead of some random torrent site on the web.

In the upcoming v1.0 release (See #1993) this will be supported, see https://github.com/homarr-labs/homarr/pull/1200

Sorry if this is already been asked/done..

I would like to set a preferred engine for all users visiting my site (so anonymous too), instead of only being able to set that up in user's preferences.. I have a searxng instance running, so I'd let everyone use that as engine.

Thanks

Thanks for the recommendation, we haven't done prefered search engines yet but it is on our plan for 1.0, I haven't thought about a global default, but would make sense. So we'll most likely add this to 1.0
