Description

Some blogs that I like (hackaday is my example) have really nasty RSS feed previews, like shown below. image

I understand this is more of a problem with the website not taking the time to clean up their RSS, but I think they choose not to since apps like feeder do it for them.

It would be really nice if there was a setting option for "minimalist RSS" that displays only the title and source website in the feed entry.

Priority

Low (Nice-to-have)

Hi, you can enable the HTML rendering as it might clean up some of the encoded text. I updated the title of this issue.

FreddieLeRobot commented 8 months ago

I have tried that, it works for some but not for all.

We cannot look into implementing a fix for this particular case (removing the image header for example) as it wouldn't work for other people.

But having an option to simply remove the description is something really easy as @manuel-rw tagged it a good first issue. I'm confident you could even do it with chatgpt by feeding it the widget code
