Hi, this is something that should naturally come in one of the rework we are currently working on. It might take some time but this is actively being worked on. I'm not sure we can spare moments to work on this workaround until that version comes out but if you or someone else is willing and makes a PR we'd welcome it.
Hi @Tagaishi I try to find some time to work on it.

Description
As stated by @ajnart here https://github.com/ajnart/homarr/issues/273#issuecomment-1409702312, it is not currently possible for Homarr to set Light/dark mode based on the clients preferences, because the dashboard is completely rendered on the server.
As a possible (stopgap) solution could the server optionally render a dark/light mode based on time or sunrise/sunset.
I personally prefer to use light mode during the day and dark mode at night. And my clients are set to automatically change. If Homarr could do something similar, then the experience would almost be as seamlessly as if it actually could detect light/darkmode.
