updated plugin to 3.3 #2

Hi @ajnyga,

I have forked and updated the plugin to work with OJS/OPS 3.3. as we need some custom metadata for our preprint plattform and I thought a more general approach could also serve others needs. Do you think it makes sense to merge the changes, since OJS 3.3 is no longer maintained from 2025 on? I probably also will update the plugin to OPS 3.4 at around the beginning of 2025.

I would not mind you taking over the whole plugin since I have not been actively maintaining it. It just started from a general idea of having this kind of approach instead of doing plugins for specific new fields

O.k., I think I can take this one over. What would be a good practice then? Just keep the two branches seperate and you refer to my repo for newer versions? Or shall I become a maintainer of this one and merge the two branches? Yours, Felix

Hi @ajnyga,

I just found that there is a similar plugin for OPS 3.4 which is much more mature: https://github.com/lepidus/customQuestions I think we will switch to this once we update our installation to 3.4 / 3.5. I think there will be no need to maintain the two plugins from this point on. What do you think?
