Chips

Chips are an important part of FPL, especially when it comes to comparing the performance of two squads on a given gameweek. Currently there is no implementation for showcasing the chips used for a gameweek other than Triple Captain via the fire icon adorned next to the selected Captain. It would be useful to implement a way of showcasing the other chips. The chips include

• Wildcard (Twice a season - 1 in first half, another in second half)
• Benchboost (Once a season)
• Freehit (Once a season)
• Triple Captain (Once a season)

The difficulty lies in ensuring that the UI is not clogged up by these additions while also being clear enough at first glance a chip has been used.

Initial Ideas

• Add an additional section "Chips Used" which is shown if one of the managers has an active chip for the selected gameweek. This will reduce the UI burden as it is only shown when necessary. This section would be below the manager summaries but above the player icon. Ideally it would be minimal in design,

• Triple Captain - Will keep the current implementation of fire icon as this is inline with the current styling and is clear.

I have already extract the chips used by managers during a gameweek so this change appears to be purely a cosmetic change.

Decided on shifting gameweek label in manager summary to the points section - "45 Points in Gameweek 10" for example. The chips then take the place of where the gameweeks previously were.
