This pull request fixes several issues generated by "CSS and HOME Changes + Logo touch-up #42". It solves several issues involved with the variable typing that would not let the website compile. That issue is linked here: https://github.com/ajoliat23/blockBook/issues/47#issue-1419964534
Lexi and I also spent a good amount of time researching the database connection and exploring firbase as a potential option. We also met with Jared Flitt to discuss the possibility of spinning up a database on his server. We will make a decision this week as to what is best for our database implementation.
