I've noticed this before but couldn't find an exact cause...
Sometimes when doing some action and then going back to the map view, it's in the wrong location. In fact, it is always south-east of the actual location, with just a small part of the circle showing, like this:
The cause seems to be taking some other action on a map:
From list view, tap the location icon in the upper right of a post to see the location on a map. Then go back and then to Map view. You will see the location change. (This one always seems to create the issue)
Create a new post and add location. Then cancel post creation and go back to Map view. Often this causes the same bug (but not always).
