actually https://mailchimp.com/pricing/ is maybe the way to go? their free plan does 2k ppl, rather than 1k (convertkit) and they also offer a "pay as you go" plan if you're not sending a lot of emails...
But you have to include a physical contact address? Man, this is getting worse and worse... I don't really want to put my home address out there... I could get a PO box for $150/year, but I was trying to do this for free...
maybe this would be better done using bibdis?
or maybe I should make a separate stand-alone site that does this? would it be useful for people? I'm thinking it could be called "email button" or something?
hmm; https://formtoemail.com/ exists...
oh man: https://mailthis.to/
hmm maybe that one doesn't work any more?
there's also https://formspree.io/ which does 50 emails/mo for free...
hmm! https://formsubmit.co/ seems to be free and be a mailthis.to replacement? could it be the one?
or: https://formspark.io/, which has mailthis.to-like pricing? (and is also just some random guy)
hmm; this: https://t2themes.com/blog/5-contact-form-options-for-ghost-and-how-to-use-them/ suggests that formsubmit doesn't have "Advanced Rest API"...
https://help.formspree.io/hc/en-us/articles/360013470814-AJAX-Forms
but formsubmit's info suggests that AJAX is possible...
maybe I should just try formsubmit, eh?
formspree seems the most like a business; formsubmit seems like the most popular indie thing...
That should be good enough for now...
https://buttondown.email/ seems pretty decent and reasonably priced
Some easy way for people to sign up to get emails... Like ConvertKit or something.
19 was resolved via RSS, but not a lot of people really use RSS these days, I think.
