[Feature Request] Multilingual comic support #388

This is dependent on information formats but there is ACBF https://acbf.fandom.com/wiki/Body_Section_Definition#Text-layer which supports multiple texts frames/bubbles.

I had put this on the "never going to happen" pile but with tools such as https://github.com/dmMaze/BallonsTranslator etc. the ability to create the translation yourself is getting easier and easier.

The fact that ACBF has been (seemingly) abandoned may mean finding (or creating another format). There is https://github.com/anansi-project/rfcs but that has been chugging along a long time.

I've looked and can't seem to find why comic/manga "fansubs" aren't a thing (by that I mean just having a subtitle files). Maybe I've just not found it and there is a known format out there.

I realise this is a big undertaking and so this is hopefully a starting point.

Of course, I'll help where I can if it's something you're interested in including.

Yeah, I'm surprised this isn't a thing.
