Some candidates I've found (e.g. http://ada.physics.usyd.edu.au:8006/image/82/transients/view_source/100118/) have a source in the convolved image that is clearly not real as there is nothing in the original ASKAP images.
These sources can be ignored by checking that there is a source found in the original ASKAP image within a convolved beamwidth of the source in the convolved ASKAP image.
