NPC damage bugs (only obvious bugs - don't list OP characters) #64

Original Message: I think they do 10 OR LESS damage per tick, so at the end they do mosquito 1-2 damage per shot. You should at least double or even quadruple it for them to make any sense as enemies.

LMAO, same goes for Act 1 Super Soldiers!!!

Clay Guardians die in 2 hits on Hard from level 15 heroes...

I never play on hard, but I assume those reports are accurate. Let me know if you find the obvious cause for the problem.

Imho it's just their low damage. Heroes with no defense receinved something like 5-6 damage per shot. With 9 defense on it's just 1 point of damage, when Hard hero level is 30+ with ~300 HP.

It's very likely that Omega Base enemies don't scale as intended, because Helicarrier and Atlantis and all the other enemies do respectable amount of damage. I don't know where enemy numbers are listed, I thinks it's in maps folder for each level.

There are damage and health profiles in a file directly in the data folder (don't remember the name). These should not be the problem. NPCs usually use such profiles in the NPCstat, but some odd ones have absolute values, especially bosses. I'm not sure if absolute values scale. Additionally, NPCs can have specific damage for powers, similar to playable characters. It's possible that powers can never use the damage profile and use absolute values instead, which would scale by difficulty and level (if set correctly). This would be in powerstyles. It is possible that there's also something in the map files, but unlikely.

This needs some digging in the various files.

It's definitely fixable, since Spoony OVERtuned the AIM Trooper pistols so they deal too much damage. Probably map setting, you can check his enemies mod structure.
