HDR UHD bluray denoise #279

UHD blurays have bad compression artifacts (for me it`s better upscaling a 1080 video), so I tried processing it with dandere2x with 1x upscaling and denoise 3x, but output result have poor brightness and washed out colors: is there any configuration that will save some color and brightness?

Does 3.7.3 help with this? Try upscaling a few seconds, if you can

eoiz commented 1 year ago

Screenshot 2022-12-06 115102 It crashes at startup with this message. :/

In the meantime I tried dendere2x rework but the output color has the same problem...

There is a bug indeed. Trying to fix it on 3.7.3

akai-katto commented 1 year ago

I fixed 3.7.3 binary.

Edit: I pushed 0.0.2.3 to allow for the pix_fmt as well.

eoiz commented 1 year ago

Ok I have some problems: I tried a bunch of settings, but with default settings I get this log: image

If I select multipleprocess it works (but the color is off as before...)

Does the beta version of dandere2x crash for you? (The latest latest). I've never seen that crash message before on legacy dandere2x.

Not all hope is lost, I forgot to implement pix_fmt setting for multiprocess. Will need to do that after work.

Maybe the original file from UHD bluray was too heavy/complex, I removed all audio tracks (8 of them) and now I don`t get any error. I upscaled using 3.7.3 and 0.0.2.4 but the output color is washed out as before...

can you send me the video over reddit? (avoiding github for copyright reasons).
