Not sure if it's a bug or not, but it's leaving a lot of confusion:

Most enemies do not deal contact damage, while some do. It's not quite clear what deals contact damage or not.
For example: Most enemies do not deal contact damage. But the first boss does deal contact damage, which not only goes against previously established conventions, but also creates even more confusion when he spawns enemies that deal no contact damage.
Then in the second area there are masks that deal contact damage, which are combined with archers and pandas which do not deal contact damage, as well as the second boss who doesn't deal any.
