[x] Document the need to set $live_site when using a separate TLS terminator, e.g. NginX as a reverse proxy.
[x] We need to document setting up the config.php or .env configuration file as a volume for those who do NOT use our Docker Compose files.
[x] Document using environment variables as a preferred method over a configuration file, and link to the page describing the environment variables.
[x] Panopticon should ideally detect it's running under Docker and refrain from updating itself (it makes a mess, creating a volume on top of the image layers, making future updates via Docker fail).
[x] Updating the image isn't enough; you need to update the database. We have CLI commands for that, but they need to be documented clearly for Docker users, not just the little note we currently have.
Docker support for Panopticon is currently in a rough state. There are a few areas which need improvement:
$live_site
when using a separate TLS terminator, e.g. NginX as a reverse proxy.config.php
or.env
configuration file as a volume for those who do NOT use our Docker Compose files.
