Gateway Timeout when selecting Configuration Page on Magento2 > Stores > Catalog > Akeneo #557

I have just reinstalled the akeneo magento2-connector (102.2.0) because when I click on the configuration page I, after a very long wait, get a timeout error "504 - Gateway Timeout This is a temporary error. Please try again later."

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck there.

Can anyone advise me on how I solve this - we have a catalog in Magento 2 of around 21,000 products with

Environment and configuration

  1. Akeneo_Connector, magento2-connector-community 102.2.0
  2. Magento ver. 2.3.7

Steps to reproduce

  1. Uninstalled and reinstalled original module

Expected result

  1. Open configuration page as per https://help.akeneo.com/magento2-connector/articles/01-where-configuration.html

Actual result

1 . Serveral minutes of delay as page attempts to open

  1. "504 - Gateway Timeout This is a temporary error. Please try again later."
