Vterm hangs emacs after trying to run docker command when docker not started #204

I was able to kill -SIGUSR2 it and get a traceback, but I can't try to reproduce again right now. It appears to be something to do with display-line-numbers-update-width and perhaps that is enough of a clue.

I'm on commit c364082c47625e294879afab74bcf2fce19475a4 of emacs-libvterm using GNU Emacs 27.0.50 (build 1, x86_64-apple-darwin19.0.0, NS appkit-1894.10 Version 10.15.1 (Build 19B88)) on OSX.

There has been some change since commit c364082, has this problem ever appeared again?
