Alexa command doesn't turn on tv, but 'lgtv.py on' does #8

When my LG TV has been off for a few hours or more, the Alexa command doesn't turn on tv, but 'lgtv.py on' does. Any reports of this? TV IS a LG webOS TV OLED55C6P and up to date firmware. I can see that it 'hears' the command: DEBUG:root:Responding to ON for tv State True on tv from client @ 192.168.1.143 Magic packet sent to turn on TV! but nothing happens.

Can you send the output of alexa-tv.py to a log file? That way when it happens again, we can see what's happening when you try to call the tv on command.

I did include some details but later learned that the lgtv.py script actually does not turn the TV on if it's been off for a while. It seems that the WOL magic packet does not work.

Is your TV connected via WiFi or Ethernet?

Personally, I haven't seen any issues when I was running the TV on wifi, but it might be your wifi setup. I'm running a Cisco Meraki MR33, never had any problems with the TV not turning on.

I'm on ethernet over powerline right now, and no issues with that either.

See below for the Wi-Fi stats while I was running it.
