event.layerX and event.layerY are broken and deprecated in WebKit

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using chrome on mac, activate JS console. 
2. just use the plugin or visit 
http://www.fyneworks.com/jquery/star-rating/#tab-Testing
3. You will see a notice every mouse move with "event.layerX and event.layerY 
are broken and deprecated in WebKit. They will be removed from the engine in 
the near future."

I don't expect this message to be there :-)

What version of the plugin/jQuery are you using?
PLUGIN VERSION: 3.14
JQUERY VERSION: 1.4 and 1.5

On what browser(s) or operating system?
BROWSER(S): Google Chrome version: 17.0.963.79 Mac OS X 10.6.8
