My initial response is that we do not need to offer the options for submission of questions in writing. @randyhart @mheadd - in your previous experience, have you encountered a need for vendors to ask questions outside of github? any privacy concerns? your input is appreciated to decide this.
@susanjabal On the DPA procurement, I think a couple of the vendors ended up sending questions to Jon G.'s email, as it was listed in the RFP. But I think vendors were asked to use Github to open an issue and submit that way.
Pretty much everyone we will want to work with on this project should be able to submit an issue no problem.
@susanjabal it would be ideal to require questions via GitHub issues. I believe there were some concerns about Alaska's procurement regs but @jongeselle would know more on this.
Yep. I already gathered Jon's opinion and we agreed that removing the the emailed questions option was a good idea. If a vendor really has a legit question that they want to enquire confidentially, I am sure they will reach out.
nice!
I am going to close this issue, as we have 3 that are essentially the same thing, regarding dates/timeline. I will update all dates once we finalize the timeline.
In Section 1.06, update the date and time for submitting questions.
Also, Is there a reason for providing the option to submit questions in writing? Is this an privacy concern?
