New message sound very loud, distracting in conference component #4

This is more of a complaint than a bug, but the audible IM sound from every
new message is well above the volume level of even the loudest conference
participants.

It is also un-mutable in the conference component which makes it very
distracting at times.

Lowering the volume to about half and adding the option to mute the
interface sound would be ideal.

The sounds are no longer part of the conference IM chat. If the sounds do come 
back,
then they should be accompanied by a mute option
