Both Squeezebox and Volumio have support for podcasts. However, as neither retain any podcast data they need to reload everything relating to a podcast each time you want to check if there's a new episode. Most of the time this is tortuously slow, and a good deal of the time it can fail entirely.
How much nicer it'd be if there was a Podgrab plugin for one or both of Squeezebox and Volumio. With the plugins pointed to a Podgrab server.
No more waiting or hit-and-hoping; it could be instant and reliable. And it could be further enhanced with the incorporation of feature request no.2.
Provide an option for synchronised listening by broadcasting the position and listened status for all podcasts. Which alongside the plugins mentioned above could also hopefully be incorporated in to AntennaPod and other clients.
Option to auto-delete episodes after playback completion or over 95 %.
