5 Row QWERTY Keyboard does not work on iPhone 3G.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Normal usage. 
2.It does not respond. 
3.iPhone 3G. Firmware 3.1. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)?
