Describe the aim of the proposed feature?
To have an unified way to handle plugins versions and auto-update features.
Similar to the way XBMC is managing addons
Describe how you would implement this feature
The actual list of plugins installed should show the version installed and ask
for new versions to the drupal site. This way the download plugin is just an
extension of the plugin toolbar.
This is an extension of the issue 174.
