Kanji and Furigana line mismatch #20

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Turning Furigana support on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Furigana placed properly above a character
Output: Occasionally a kanji will be offset and incorrectly misplaced on a
page. Specifically, it goes to the next line while furigana is displayed in
the line expected for kanji.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.3 Windows

Hope this helps

Ah, I found that switching from the XHTML Ruby plugin in firefox to HTML Ruby
Plugin
corrects the issue. Thanks for the great add-on!

This layout issue is not caused by Furigana Injector. Firefox still lacks
support for
<ruby> tags, and the two ruby support add-ons which can supply it instead are
not
perfect (though I appreciate the author's contributions, naturally). A third
case is
when web page designers put text in fixed-height containers, e.g. fixed table
cells
to control layout.
