Furigana-injector icon absent on some HTTPS pages #27

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to 
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/cbahnmcliajmanjkaolemjelphicnei
n
2. Look for furigana injector icon
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No icon!

Which browser are you using, Firefox or Chrome? On what operating system?
Chromium 5.0.313.0 (37701)

Please provide any additional information below.

Works great on HTTP pages, but on HTTPS pages the padlock is where the 
furigana icon would be, and there's no furigana icon to be found.

  I've confirmed it doesn't work on 
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/cbahnmcliajmanjkaolemjelphicnein . 
Not sure 
why yet. I have found that is not a web-wide issue as other japanese content 
pages 
under https:// URLs can work.

Note, sometimes the icon does not for ordinary http:// resources too.

http://www.2chan.net/ the popular "futaba channel" image/message board is an 
example of 
a standard http:// page that doesn't show the icon for me.
