Popup dictionary gets in the way of the following text. #35

I have Chrome 6.0.422.0

I have a few problems that are not bugs but simply design problems, I think.

1. the dictionary popup lingers too long and blocks the text to the right
making it difficult to continue reading
* popup could be to the top or bottom for this to be easier.
* popup linger time should be reduced
2. minor opacity should be added to the dictionary popup

Also, I think it might be better if these were customizable in the options
screen.

Hi Derek, thanks for the input.

No to opacity- I tried and it looked awful.

Maybe no to adjustable popup time ... I think sometimes we want a long view,
sometimes we want a short, it depends on the amount of concentration we have
for the
entry being displayed.
I think instead having a popup that disappears as soon as you mouse-off is a
better
idea. I will program that.

Popup being underneath is a good idea ... I think I tried this once though and
wasn't
happy with the result. Could you make a mockup?

Best regards,

Akira

Thanks for getting back to me,
Well, I agree that making the popup disappear on mouse off would basically
alleviate
the problem. Also, I understand not making these customizable as it might just
clog
the system and complicate things.

As for dictionary placement, I do not know what you mean specifically by
mockup.
Perhaps you wanted a picture displaying possible look and feel. I attached a
couple
possibilities that I made quickly. Also, I thought perhaps it could be equally
functional if placed in a particular location on the page (ie. always in the
top
right corner, etc.)

Cheers

Thanks Derek,
that's exactly what a mock-up is. I think I'll go with the first one, and if it's
easy I'll make it flip to be on top if the text is near the bottom of the
browser
window.

Cheers,

Akira

Programmed pop-ups to disappear on "mouseleave". Layout change yet to be done.

Layout changed to position underneath the <ruby>. Will appear in next version.
