Just saying thanks. 

1. Install Java,Tomcat,Solr
2. Install magento files from .rar
3. Copy schema.xml from .rar to /etc/solr/conf/schema.xml
4. Clear Magento Cache
5. Reindex 'Catalog Search' index in magento.

Works like a charm on Ubuntu running Magento 1.7 with single storeview. Thx.

hi 

I too want to integrate my solr-4.1.0 running on tomcat6 on centos(REDHAT) with 
magento1.5.1 running on same server. How to go about integrating this with .rar 
file provided here? please help with the steps thanks.
